Why You Must Blog

Today we’re going to talk about blogging and I’m going to share with you my top three business reasons that you must blog. When I got started, the idea of blogging made me want to vomit. I don’t like to write. I thought forget it I’m out. But what I learned is there’s other ways to achieve the same thing without it having to be just writing.

Videos or Podcasts

You can do videos or podcasts. If you’re not loving the whole idea of writing, don’t fear. These ways work just as good and sometimes even better. What I do is create my video and then use a translation service to translate so I only have to edit the copy to put on my blog with the video.



Reason #1 For A Blog Is Traffic

I’m going to share with you three reasons that you really should consider having a blog.

First reason is traffic. Blogging gives you traffic back to your site. And you’re probably saying to yourself, “Well, what the heck is traffic and why do I care about traffic?” Traffic is eyeballs. It’s people that are coming and looking at your content and getting to know you better and getting to understand what it is that you offer.

Blogging allows you to have content to SEO and you’re able to syndicate your content to other places on the web. These two tactics drive traffic back to your website.

Reason #2 For A Blog Is to Brand Yourself

It gives you the ability to brand yourself. It’s interesting, the minute you get online, it’s like you get this instant notoriety, like you’re a movie star or something. It’s kind of funny. But it’s very cool, because it gives you the ability to brand yourself.

You can really set yourself up as a leader and separate yourself from everybody else that’s out there. If you’re trying to really establish yourself as a leader in your company creating a blog can help you big time. Trust me, you’re going to start to have a brand that people are going to associate you with and people get to know what you’re like. Are you real? Are you fake? Are you funny? Are you not? Are you trustworthy?

There’s a relationship that starts to get built. I’m sure as you’re watching this video right now with me, you’re trying to decide. “Okay, what’s her brand? Do I trust this girl? Do I want to listen to her? Do I want to do what she says?” So that’s really the benefits of a blog, it gives you the ability to start to build yourself as a brand.

Reason #3 For A Blog Is Credibility

I remember back in the day when websites first came out, companies had to have a website for one reason only. It was all about credibility. If you didn’t have a website then people didn’t see you as a real company. Having a website established your credibility.

Today it’s all about the blog. Your blog allows people a place where people can go and check you out. They can read your About Us. They can look at what you’re blog posts and just get a better feel for who you are.
