Have you ever thought.  There must be something more to life? Do you feel like you’re in an endless grind and never get ahead? Or that life isn’t meant to be this hard? That’s where I found myself in 2009 after being laid off from my job of 8 years.  I had never been in this position before, so it was extremely hard for me to wrap my head around this news – and it was definitely not in my plan.

As a stranger looking in, my life looked pretty darn good. Had a great job, family, house, car, and all kinds of toys, but I was unhappy and unfulfilled. I knew there had to be more for me — a way to have more financial security and freedom, all while making a greater impact.

This was the moment I decided it was time to ‘stir things up’ and do something different — I was not going to be content with just an OK life. In 2008, I was introduced to a new business model, called network marketing or multi-level marketing. I was immediately attracted to the idea of residual income and leveraged time. Having been laid off twice (yes, it happened again in 2014). I was very familiar with the concept that, “if you don’t work, you don’t get paid.” So if there was a way I could work really hard now and continue to get paid later, why wouldn’t I go for it?

Over the next several years I dabbled in several different network marketing companies and even started my own online business.

My Road to Financial Security

I had the vision and the belief that this was my track to true financial security. I thought it would be easy and everyone would be on board with me. Why wouldn’t you want a stream of residual income (Plan B) and some freedom? What I soon realized was that it’s not as easy as I thought and not everyone saw my vision. As a matter of fact, many of my friends thought I was a little crazy. I soon realized that this was not a ‘get rich quick’ business, but with time and hard work it was possible. Network Marketing must be treated like a true business and not a hobby if I wanted it to pay me like one.

Sandy Sons AboutOnce I treated this model as a business I have been able to create a substantial income with my current company and become one of the top leaders in the organization. Of course, this didn’t happen overnight. I went through many failures with other companies including my own before I found success. However, I never gave up and I remained focused on my end goal.

Sandy About NewOver those years I spent a lot of time learning and understanding the industry of network marketing and entrepreneurship. I knew that I loved it, but I didn’t fully understand everything it had to offer.

I realized how important it was to have the right management, leadership, product/service, compensation, and most importantly training program. I looked at many different companies and evaluated them thoroughly. I spoke to lots of leaders so that I could truly comprehend what makes a company and its leadership great. In 2013 I found my current company. It contained everything that I wanted and needed, so I jumped in.


5mbnailI feel blessed and grateful for having been through this journey. It has taught me so much about myself and business. I know what I want and how to get there. I have been able to build a big business and be one of the top leaders within our company. I have the honor and privilege of teaching others how to change their life and live their best possible life.

I’m not a millionaire…yet, but I know with hard work and consistency it is possible. I’m also showing my sons what is within reach if you stay focused and consistent. My oldest son is building his own business and being able to partner with him has been amazing. I’ve witnessed an incredible transformation in him thanks to all the training and self-development I’ve received. I moved back to my home town in California, close to the beach and I appreciate every day.
