Why Is Lead Generation Important To Your Business

In today’s video I talk about why generating leads are important to your business and what to do with them. But first, what is lead generation? Lead generation is the process of attracting and converting strangers into prospects/leads.

My first experience in network marketing I thought I had a big list and plenty of people to talk to. However, as I started to go through my list of leads, I soon realized I was running out. I learned the hard way.

I now know that is the difference between an amateur and a professional network marketer. An amateur just takes the list and never adds to it while a professional will consistently add new names every day. I’m going to cover the fundamental things that you need to know about the lead generation process for your business:

 

 

Pipeline of New Leads

Whether you are meeting people out, going to networking events, or using an online sales funnel, you must frequently be bringing new leads into your business. For example, you can connect with old friends on Facebook to create new leads for your list. You should add two to three new names into your list each day. This is how you expand your list and end up with a nice sales funnel you can use in the future.

Nurture or Drip on Your Leads

With everyone going online, it means you have an easy opportunity to nurture/follow-up with your leads.  It is important that you consistently keep in touch with people because things change and it may not be a good time now but later it makes total sense. In other words, nurture your relationship with people. If they say no, it is a no for right now and you can later covert them into a yes down the road.

Converts the Leads into Sales

Among the importance of lead generation is the sales conversion. When you go online for leads, you are required to have a call to action for people to make. You must tell the people what they need to do. One of the biggest mistakes of business owners is that they don’t’ ask for the sale.

To reiterate on what to do with your business leads: make a good list, nurture your leads, and convert them into sales by asking.
